It started with a simple observation: local businesses are some of the hardest-working people in Switzerland, and most of the tools sold to them don’t actually solve their problems.

Marketing agencies charge monthly retainers whether they deliver results or not. The restaurant owner pays, the agency posts a few social media pictures, and nothing really changes. The salon owner pays, gets a “strategy deck,” and still has empty chairs on Tuesday afternoon.

We thought that was broken. So we built LocalX around a different idea: what if the business only paid when something actually worked?

That’s how the LocalX Loyalty System started. We help local businesses bring customers back — not with ads, not with followers, but with real incentives tied to real visits. A discount code after a meal. A reward after a haircut. A reason to come back next week. The business pays for results, not promises. First 50 codes are free. After that, you pay per use. If nobody uses it, you pay nothing.

Then we discovered 3D hologram displays — and immediately understood why they matter for local businesses. A restaurant, a boutique, a barbershop — they all compete for attention on the same street. A hologram in the window stops people. It’s not a poster they walk past. It’s not an Instagram ad they scroll past. It’s something they’ve never seen before, and it makes them walk in. We became one of the first companies in Switzerland to bring these displays to local businesses — for purchase or for events.

And then came Gastro. We kept talking to restaurant owners and heard the same thing over and over: “I have a POS. I have a scheduling app. I have a kitchen printer. But none of them talk to each other.” The guest can’t call the waiter from the table. The bill takes forever to split. The accountant calls every Monday asking for numbers that should have been ready on Friday. So we started building a restaurant operating system that connects everything — from the moment a guest sits down to the moment the books are closed.

That’s LocalX today. Holograms that get people through the door. A loyalty system that brings them back. And a restaurant system that runs the service in between.
